AgentCore Gateway now supports Bedrock InvokeModel APIs and model fallback

Amazon Bedrock AgentCore Gateway now accepts the Bedrock InvokeModel and InvokeModelWithResponseStream APIs on its inference endpoint. Existing Bedrock SDK clients can point at the gateway to reach any model provider through one endpoint. The gateway also adds model fallback routing, which sends a request to an ordered chain of alternative destinations when the primary is throttled, erroring, or timing out, and a circuit breaker skips destinations that are currently failing.

What changes for platform teams

Platform teams can centralize model access for agents behind one governed endpoint and move retry and failover logic out of each client. The source says the circuit breaker reduces latency for failed attempts, which is a vendor claim not measured in the text.
