Amazon EKS Auto Mode now supports the Kubernetes Gateway API, letting users configure application load balancing with Gateway and HTTPRoute resources. EKS Auto Mode provisions and manages the underlying AWS load balancing infrastructure. Existing Ingress resources continue to work alongside Gateway API resources.
